About Me
I've been a news and feature writer for more than ten years. I first started writing for The Expat in Malaysia, before moving to The Bazaar in Kuwait, and then later to international business publications in the Middle East and across the globe.
Like most things in life, I came across writing purely by chance. Although I always knew I wanted to be journalist soon after graduating from university in Montreal, Canada, the path to get there was far from obvious.
I started off my career in public relations, developing communication strategies for clients in different industries- banking, oil and gas, and technology- before relocating with my husband to different parts of the globe and raising our children. It was then that I had the opportunity to explore my passion for writing.
As a freelance writer, I write for various publications, including Fast Company, MIT Sloan Management Review, and The National News. My work has also appeared in Forbes, Newsweek, Arab News, Zawya, Al Monitor, Ms. Magazine, and World Politics Review amongst others, focusing on entrepreneurship, business and development in the Middle East.
Additionally, I create digital content, blog posts, press releases and newsletters for agencies and businesses across the region.
